The Republicans released a list yesterday of what they deem wasteful in the stimulus legislation. I do not agree the spending is wasteful. It is, however, not equitable….for all practical purposes it might as well be a pork bill.
It is a wish list…and unfortunately only a very small percentage of folks were asked for their ‘list’. The legislation is profoundly undemocratic and a bad example of how to spend money. From a political perspective, whether it will heal the economy or not is almost an irrelevant question.
President Obama needs to rethink the method….he does not understand the ’scale’ issues.
